Very interesting, and very true. We need to look at and understand others in order to get along and not live totally in hate. It will be a delicate balance and hard to swallow at times. We live in a country of cultural diversity, instead of fearing it we need to embrace and learn from it. I need to figure out how to apply it to work.
I have listened to several podcast specifically of the Evolution of God. I like Robert Wright, and think he has some great things to say in relation to “History as Revelation”. He seems to reject the staunch atheism of the so called new Atheists, and paves a middle way that doesn’t necessarily make claims of special revelation, but is not opposed to religious notions. As a Christian I can see how it is valuable to see history as revelation. History shows us that we must not necessarily see ourselves in a zero sum relationships, but rather in non-zero sum relationships, where what is good for the other is also good for us.
